I- Bibliographic Databases

  One of the main functions assigned to ENSTINET was the development and maintenance of bibliographic databases of the Egyptian S&T literature, this database called (STEB) currently contains 218000 records. the STEB database is impressive as it covers the entire Egyptian production of English-language journal literature, a good portion of university theses , conference proceedings and technical reports which can be accessed electronically .

The Egyptian Scientific and Technical Abstracts ( ESTA) (Medical Sciences) is  by-product of ENSTINET online Egyptian S&T bibliographic databases STEB .

STEB is the largest database maintained by ENSTINET but not the only one

II-Non-bibliographic databases

.Additional databases are build by ENSTINET such as Egyptian S&T periodicals, Egyptian S&T libraries ,

Arabic S&T literature and the Union List of Periodicals in Egypt.

In order to maximize the utilization of information resources available in Egypt ,ENSTINET has developed a Union list of periodicals available located in Egyptian U-list.
